Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 2026

Shiki is committed to making visitshiki.com usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers or speech-recognition software.

Conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard widely referenced for accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We consider the site to be partially conformant: we have addressed the main areas below and continue to improve, but some content may not yet fully meet every criterion.

What we've done

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas may fall short. We are aware of, and working on, the following:

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter any part of the site that is difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, please let us know — your feedback helps us fix problems and prioritise improvements. We aim to respond within a few business days. Email shiki.japan.guide@gmail.com, or use our contact form.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time fix. We review the site as we add features and content, and we update this statement when our approach or conformance changes.
